GamrCred and EmpireAvenue, some questions answered!

Got GamrCred? You can find out now!

This past week marked another milestone in Empire Avenue Inc.’s history. This is the first time we’ve released a new product using EmpireAvenue.com’s “demon_core” engine. Yes, I’m talking about “GamrCred”, check it out at http://gamrcred.com and what we are doing with GamrCred at http://blog.gamrcred.com.

In short: GamrCred is the Ultimate Rank in Games. It combines what you play with what you say and the respect of your fellow gamers. Our goal is to create the world’s greatest community of credible gamers. No matter your rank or level you will want to be part of GamrCred so that you can unlock things in the future that others without a GamrCred rank would only dream of.

GamrCred is powered on our “demon_core” engine which is the amazing technology we’ve built to analyze and describe engagement and reputation in any network or set of networks with scale. EmpireAvenue.com uses the “demon_core” engine to analyze the core social media experience and brings in the element of fun and games through the use of the Social Stock Market and Missions. We’re really proud to be able to showcase the ability for our technology to dive deep into a single genre/industry. The genre we’ve chosen is the video games industry, an industry where we have experience and passion, and our involvement which helped spawn the game mechanics used in EmpireAvenue.com.

I’ve heard a couple of questions being levelled at the Empire Avenue team so, I thought I would personally answer them here…

Why did we do GamrCred? – The team saw an opportunity to explore the idea of what it means to have credibility by analyzing more than social engagement. In the world of games, credibility cannot be gained by simply talking about a game, nor can you gain credibility by playing the game alone at home. Credibility is that which you gain from your peers, it’s the respect you earn. GamrCred allows us to explore facets of credibility and reputation, the depth of which can only be explored in a vertical, while enhancing the core code and engine that drives Empire Avenue.

In fact, much of what we have optimized for GamrCred will find its way back into EmpireAvenue.com.

What’s next? – Our goal with GamrCred is to make the world’s most credible gaming community and help gamers to prosper within their own communities all around the games world. Come help us make this dream a reality, we really believe in the power of GamrCred and the reputation you can build by Playing, Saying and earning Respect.

With EmpireAvenue.com, our goal is still the same: EmpireAvenue.com is Social Media Rocket Fuel. Use it to Expand, Engage and Evaluate your social media networks and activity and use our Social Stock Market and Missions to drive awareness of yourself and your brand. With Liz Strauss helping us bring about some neat partnerships, I believe we can really make it blast off! After all, we have some of the best most engaged people out there in our community.

Isn’t our team small? – You bet it is, we’ve worked very hard to build and manage both products with a small lean team. We believe small teams with the right help can move mountains, all we need is the passion and will to do so. This doesn’t mean we won’t expand, but having two successful products running on the same platform allows us a greater opportunity to succeed.

Where did you launch GamrCred? – The beta launch of GamrCred happened from all of the locations that we work throughout Canada. As it happened though, I was visiting San Francisco and since every great tech product in Silicon Valley has been launched from a garage, I had to do the same with GamrCred. Photographic evidence is included!

GamrCred Launch HQ California, August 15, 2012
